Glen H. Voss

Glen H. Voss Glen passed away October 16, 2011 at Odyssey Hospice as his wish for hospice care. Glen was born May 7, 1916 in Andover, South Dakota. His parents, Martha Hortor and Arthur Voss came to America from Germany as children, met and married in Andover, SD and raised their family of nine children. He was preceded in death by sisters, Florence, Iva and Helen; brothers, Calvin, Harold, Clyde and Vern; extended family: daughter, Ardys Harvlie; mother of their children, Charlotte Voss; wife, Mildred Voss. Survived by daughter, Barbara (Hal) Solem; brother, Richard Voss; stepson, Wayne Mirabelle; Loving Life Partner, Lucille "Chick" Capuano; six grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Glen served World War II 1943 Corp of Engineers in Germany and Korea 1950 1.55 Howitz Division. He was a member of VFW Post 4309, Loyal Order of Moose, Arizona Polish Club, Old Pueblo Square Dance Camper Club. Very active, Glen loved ballroom dancing, bowling, gardening and traveling in his motorhome. Glenn worked as a milkman for over 30 years in Tacoma, WA; California, and Tucson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service with military honors on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. both at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Odyssey Hospice or your favorite charity.
