Gordon Eugene Spillman, Sr., age 70, of Citra, FL went home to the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was a deeply loved father, Papa and friend and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to spend time with him.
Gordon "Big Gene" was born in South Williamson, KY on May 2, 1954 to James Tilden Spillman and Nellie Maynard Spillman. He worked at Florida Pest Control for many years before retiring to focus on spoiling his grandchildren. He was a newly ordained deacon and active member of Flemington Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Nettie Ann Spillman , who we know was excitedly waiting at the gates of heaven to be reunited for eternity. He is survived by sons Gordon “Gene” Spillman, Jr (Wendy) of Citra, Steven Spillman of Citra, and Brian Spillman (Jennifer) of New Market, TN along with his pride and joy, the grandbabies Hayley, Justin, Ty, Sierra, Sadie and Wyatt and newest bundle to spoil, his first great grandbaby, Jaxon Spillman. He also has a large extended family and many friends who became family as well.

So very sorry to hear this he will be sorely missed,.Gordon was a an amazing father, friend,and a devoted Christian. I know he is with no doubt with his beloved Nettie,singing and dancing in heaven.
