Greta Barrett Obituary
Throughout her life, she enjoyed antiquing and decorating and was also very artistic. She often would create drawings and beautiful paintings. Greta was very dedicated to her faith and volunteered her time helping with the sound system at her church and giving her time to multiple organizations and clubs.
Greta also enjoyed traveling to many places and adding to her doll collection. She dedicated her time to her family and children and adored spending quality time and making memories with them and her family dog. Greta was an incredible woman with a personality that no one will forget. We will cherish her in our memories and in our heart.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Phil Barrett; son, John Barrett; grandson, Jeff Shields; son-in-law, Jerry Edwards; and family dog, Tiger.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Carter) McCallum and MaryAnn (Gary) Engel; twelve grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends to cherish and honor her memory.
The family will receive guests for visitation on Thursday, February 8, 2024 between 9:30am and 10:30am at Eastside Baptist Church, Marietta, Georgia. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am with burial immediately following the service at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greta's name to Eastside Baptist Church Youth Missions.
HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill is honored to serve the Barrett family during this difficult time.

Greta was a wise, sweet and fun person to be around. A wonderful Christian, she was such a giving and loving woman.
I am truly blessed to have known her as a friend. I send love to the family and please know she WILL be missed.
