Hailey Rae Rubalcaba, a resident of Visalia, has passed away. She was 15 yrs old. She was born in Fresno on April 4, 2000 to parents Nick Rubalcaba and Rebecca Van Tassel.
Hailey is survived by her parents, Nick Rubalcaba of Visalia, and Rebecca Saucedo of Shafter; two sisters, Hannah Rubalcaba and Lillian Rubalcaba; two half-brothers, Gabriel Saucedo and Roman Saucedo; grandparents, Gloria Galaviz Peterson and Darlene Van Tassel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Hailey lived with her father and his girlfriend, Linda Dillard, in Visalia and was a student at University Preparatory High School. She really enjoyed music. She would listen to, sing along, and was also learning guitar, which she was excelling at quickly. She loved the color pink, which she was evident by her pink and Paris-themed room, and pink acoustic and electric guitars. Being the oldest, she loved her siblings and always looked out for them in such a loving way. She had many aspirations and was a self-motivated young woman.
Hailey will be deeply missed. She was such a great daughter, step-daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and friend.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, April 24, 2015, 5:30pm at Miller Memorial Chapel, located at 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia.

Even to this day I still think of her and wish she were still here with us at UPHS. I still can't wrap my head around her death. I miss her and I really hope you guys were able to grieve with the lord.

My friend Hailey,
You were the smartest, strongest, and the most beautiful person I could have ever met. I am glad to have said that I had the honor of meeting you and calling you my friend. It still rings in my mind the day i found out that you were gone and i wont forget that day ever. I will miss you and love you forever Hailey. Keep loving pink and continue to play that beautiful guitar! I miss you!

To our dearly beloved Hailey,
I can not even describe how I feel for this entire situation. And all my prayers go out to her and her family. I am truly sorry for your passing. She was amazing and cheerful. She made everyone smile and laugh. She was just out "Little Rae Of Sunshine". I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet her because I know a lot of people didn't. She was amazing to be around and always so excited about something whether it was a new beanie or to see her little siblings whom she deeply loved. I was and still am honored to be called her friend. May she now rest in peace. She is surely in a better place, and I hope to cross paths with her one day. We had our good times and also our sad times, but if either of us needed something, we were there for each other. I wish she would have stayed, I wish she would have finished high school with her friends and wore that pink/sparkly graduation cap that she always dreamed of wearing, I wish she would have settled down in her pink house and three children. I wish... That I could tell her "Everything will be okay"... I miss our talks, our smiles we shared, our hugs, and even our tears we've shed. No matter how long we live we will NEVER forget Hailey, that I promise you. She is my Haylar, my princess, my unicorn, my happiness. I will forever miss and love you. To the family of our dearly beloved Hailey,
All my prayers go out to you and certainly to Hailey. She was amazing and such a precious human being. She was everyone's favorite person to be around because she always made them smile and laugh. I am so glad I had the chance to get to know her, because I know a lot of people didn't. It was and still an honor to call her my friend. We shared many memories, some happy and some sad. But if she needed anything I was there for her and she was there for me. It breaks my heart to know she's gone, and it hurts even more because I know I can't change that. But I know she's in a better place now, and she will be happier there. No matter how long we live or what we go through, nothing, and I do mean nothing, will let us forget Hailey and how amazing she was. She was our "Little Rae of Sunshine". And we can never replace her. She will be truly missed, because I cared so much about her. So like I said before, all my prayers...all my heart and soul go out to her. I will never get all she has given me, not just her friendship, but her love. I wish she could have lived through her high school years with her friends like we said we would, she said that she wanted a pink sparkly graduations cap. And I do believe that I will meet again some day, our paths will cross again. I will miss and love her forever. May God be with you, Sweetie.

Dear Rubalcaba family! May the Lord comfort all of you during this time. I teach at UPHS and met this precious angel there, I remember talking with her each morning after she came to my room before school was open. I wanted for her to be safe in the school, she loved the color pink also my favorite color.....the sky was painted pink to receive her. I miss her dearly, and I know you. Miss her too. Words fail me to express the deep sorrow Hailey's family and friends are experiencing at this time. My only comforting thought is the belief that Hailey's energy isn't gone, she's out there, right now, rocking on, wearing pink, and singing a song that we can't hear until we meet her again.
