Age 93; died October 12, 2017, Tucson, AZ; born September 25, 1924, Milwaukee, WI, to Dr. Harry Robert Foerster, Sr. and Katherine Flynn Foerster. Preceded in death by his brother, Richard Foerster. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Feeney Foerster, daughter Carrie Foerster, son H. Robert Foerster III, son Bradley Foerster and daughter-in-law Kristina Segulja, and granddaughters Ekaterina and Marina Foerster. Further survived by his sister-in-law Lucinda Foerster, and her family, and the extended Feeney family. Graduate of Milwaukee Country Day School, and Marquette University School of Medicine. Residency at University of Michigan. Served as U.S. Navy Medical Officer during the Korean War. Began his medical career after the Korean War, joining his father, Dr. Harry R. Foerster, Sr. and Dr. Donald Ruch in the practice of dermatology in Milwaukee. Long affiliation with Columbia Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. Practiced dermatology for 50 years. Retired in Tucson, AZ, and Presque Isle, WI. Avid outdoorsman, enjoyed numerous wilderness canoe trips until age 90. Accomplished painter, wooden boat enthusiast, sailor. He savored the small joys of life, sunsets, wildlife, a good story, evening cocktail. Loved his faithful dogs. He cherished his family and friends. He was a kind, gentle, and unassuming man, and will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Salvation Army.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of this dear man. I am so grateful for the kindness and support he and Shirley have shown to me in the past two years during my presentations at OLLI. It was a joy and privilege to have Dr. Foerster, his wife and his daughter Carrie in my classes. I am honored to have been counted among their friends. A special person. Patriarch of a wonderful family. Great memories as a kid on Oakland Ave. I remember feeling very sad when the Foersters moved to Palisades even though it was only a couple of blocks away. Dr. Foerster always had time for me over the years whether it was as a neighbor, a physician, or a friend. Thinking of him, Mrs. Foerster, Carrie, Rob, and Brad. Love from the Weiss family

My how time flies. One of my fondest memories of Milwaukee has been times spent with Harry and Shirley from early coach house days to sailing at the MYC. Seems like yesterday. Harry was one of those guys who was simply comfortable to be with. A great gift that is all too rare. My sympathies to all who loved him.

Dear Aunt Shirley, Carrie, Rob, Bradley, Christina, Katya and Marina
Our hearts are broken for all of you now that Uncle Harry has returned to heaven. We have been keeping you in our hearts, minds and prayers and will continue to do so.
