Heidi Hammon Obituary

Hammon, Heidi Lynn
Heidi Lynn Hammon, 17 of Phoenix was born on July 26, 1993 and entered into the presence of her Lord on June 8th, 2011. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Heidi graduated from Paradise Valley High School this year. Heidi was extremely gifted with many abilities including mastering the oboe, flute, and saxaphone and was learning to play the guitar and piano. Heidi was accepted into the Marine Corp. Band and planned to play the oboe. Among her many gifts, she had the voice of an angel that could lift the spirits and bless all those fortunate enough to hear. Heidi was the team leader of the flag corp. at Paradise Valley High School and possessed the ability to dance and maneuver the flags and rifles like no one before her ever could. Heidi is survived by her Mother Pamela and Brother Austin. She was preceded in death by her father Theodore Duane Hammon. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 16th at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd. A memorial service will be announced for a later date at Bethany Bible Church. Mrs. Hammon and Family,
My daughter Jessica was in the band with Heidi and is deeply saddened by her sudden passing. We are also sad that we missed the visitation on Thursday.

Heidi was in my biology class and in the line I lead graduation night. We had a deep conversation while waiting to graduate about what was to come in her life and how it was open like a great journey before her. I am so sorry to find out that that journey was so short, but I know that Heidi made so much of the time she was here; she was a force to behold.

Pam, My heart aches for your loss; Heidi was such a joy and a great friend of my son, Will. I will always remember her vibrant spirit at the Sr Band Banquet and her loving nature with the alpacas at our home.

So Heidi I just added a picture of me and you from our winter guard comepetition. Although winter guard was the only time I knew you, I am glad we met. You were the first Heidi to ever be in guard with me after four years of color guard and 2 season of winter guard and at first I didn't want to share the name but well i couldn't help it. Your fun, nice, atittude on life made me realize hey ya we could be friends. You will be missed by sooooo many people. I am sorry we lost you but I am not sorry for meeting you. I am glad we combined with PV! I bet your dad is happy you are there with him and now you both can watch over your mom. And hey if you ever see my dog walking around, well she likes to be scratched on her neck... And you can take her swimming this summer because I know I can't. I miss you but I am glad that I have an angel like you watching over me.

Pam and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Heidi was such a joy and I will always remember her and I being buddies! We were the only two at Bethany Bible to have the name Heidi and she would always run up and give me a hug. I am so happy that she grew up into such a talented and beautiful woman of God and with such ambitions. I rejoice in the fact that we will see her again. Know that I am praying for you and your family in this time of grief and confusion. Keep your head up and just hold on to Jesus and he wil give you peace and rest. He is your rock and your high place!
