Helen Szer Obituary
Magdalena Maria “Helen” Szer, age 89, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025 at Collierville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Collierville, Tennessee.
Helen was born May 14, 1936 in Poland. She moved to Tennessee and was employed as a seamstress at Goldsmith’s and worked at Troxel in Moscow before her retirement in 1998. She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, planting in her garden, cleaning and making cheesecake, apple cake and rouladen. Helen adored her granddaughters and great-grandsons.
Helen is survived by two grandchildren, Jeannie Marie Bryan-Wilson (Ricky) of Collierville, TN and Susan Bryan Bingham (Mike) of Saulsbury, TN; two great-grandsons, Jameson Michael Wilson and John Richard Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maria Bryan who died October 11, 2020; ten sisters and three brothers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
