Herbert "Herb" R. Heller

Toms River - Herbert "Herb" R. Heller, age 80, passed away on December 17, 2018 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland surrounded by his family. Herb was born on July 25, 1938 in New York City, and moved to Toms River in 1967, where he and his wife Bonnie proudly raised their three children. A veteran of the United States Army, Herb served his country in Germany from 1957-1960, followed by three years of inactive duty. After his military service, Herb's entire career was dedicated to the automotive supply industry, until his retirement in 2006. After his retirement, Herb enjoyed serving as an Ocean County election poll worker for many years. Herb will always be remembered for his love of life and his animated sense of humor. Herb was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ilse Heller, and his step mother Erika Heller. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bonnie Heller (Ostrove), Toms River, three children Howard Heller (Anita), Potomac, MD, Stacey Henderson, Silver Spring, MD, Michael Heller (Cheryl), Gaithersburg, MD, and six grandchildren, Meredith Henderson, Jonathan Henderson, Melissa Heller, Caleb Henderson, Lauren Heller, and Annebeth Heller. Additionally, Herb is survived by his brother, Ronald Heller, New York City, and many other loving family members. A gathering will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ.
