Herman Mehlon Davis, of Hanover, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy M. Davis and Ora D. Newton; siblings, Jerry, Alton, Frank, Tina, Esther, Fay, Haden, Nancy; great-granddaughter, Elsie Marie. He is survived by his children, Steve Davis, Andy Davis (Anita), Sherri Fadool (Jimmy) and Wade Davis (Pam); grandchildren, Angel, Wes (Amanda), Melissa (Colby), Cathleen, Allie (Josh), Sarah, and Brian (Cassia); several great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom Davis, Mary O'Bier; host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16 at 2 p.m. in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial donation to Fairmount Christian Church PO Box 788 Mechanicsville, VA 23111 or a charity of your choice.
