Lapointe, Herve "Ernie" Edmond
82, of Phoenix passed away on June 3, 2011. Born April 9, 1929 to Phillip Lapointe and Florence (Corbeil) in Worcester, Ma. Herve grew up in Attleboro, Ma. Herve served in the Army for 2-years during the Korean war from 1951 - 1953 as an M.P. Herve was honorably discharged and moved to Arizona. Herve then met and married the love of his life, Marie Ann Bell, they married on October 31, 1953 and stayed happily married for 57 years. Herve will be especially remembered for being a loving husband and father, a tireless worker and generous man, but most importantly as a "storyteller". Survivors include two sons, Raymond Lapointe and Ernest Lapointe who reside in Phoenix, AZ. His Brothers, Emile & Wilfrid Lapointe and Sisters Lorraine Walsh-Frank, Emeline Proulx, Theresa Nye. Herve was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie on June 19, 2010 as well as Sisters Estelle Roy and Elva Deavellar. Services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011, 10:00 AM at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024-7500.
