Howard George Obituary
Howard was a hard worker and enjoyed his job as a Pharmacy Tech for MedCo. He was an AirForce veteran who served his country honorably. Howard's favorite pastimes were: fishing, gardening, painting, wood carving, and rock collecting. His mother reminisced about Howard's love of rock collecting. He started this hobby at a young age and one time collected so many rocks as child that he broke the bottom out of his dresser drawer. He had a loving heart and loved all animals, especially birds. Howard enjoyed volunteering at Audubon Arkansas conservation organization: "Where birds thrive, people prosper." He loved people and would help anyone in need even after death he donated his organs. Howard was a member at Compel Church in Olive Branch.
His father, Percy George, and his son, Stephen George, precede him in death. Howard is survived by his two children, Melissa George and Christopher George (Jackie); his mother, Jonnie George; mother of his children, Kathy Shelton Martin, and four brothers: David George (Enya), Gary George (Carla), Charles George (Sharen), and Danny McDowell. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Ellisti and Aiden George.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
The family request memorial contributions be made to Audubon Arkansas, 4500 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72206.
