Hoyle Setzer Obituary
Born July 6, 1927 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Hoyle Columbus Setzer, Sr. and Blakie Hawn.
He was a longtime member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, having served on the church council and taught Sunday School for many years. Hoyle was well known for being an avid farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years.June Elizabeth Sigmon; brothers, Rhyne Setzer, Ned Setzer; sisters, Mary Fish, Mae Killian, Catherine Buchannan, and Dorothy Reed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Tommy Setzer and wife, Becky, Luther Setzer and wife, Leslie; brother, George Setzer; brother-in-law, Charles Reed; granddaughter, Rebecca Setzer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Claremont with Rev. Jason Sigmon officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery in Claremont.
The family will receive prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 at the church.
