He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Connie (Brewer) Snow; his beloved cat "Lucy"; son, Alan Snow and wife Joyce of New Bern; daughter, Andrea Snow of Rockport, Massachusetts; grandson Paul Snow, granddaughter Kelly Snow, and great-granddaughter Mariah Snow, all of Hamilton, Massachusetts; one niece and several nephews; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Augusta (Woodbury) Snow; sister Virginia Bray; and brother Randall.
He was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1927 and grew up in nearby Beverly. Lifelong Beverly residents, in 1989 Bud and Connie relocated to their retirement home in New Bern.
Following graduation from Governor Dummer Academy in 1947 and service with the Massa-chusetts Army National Guard, Bud began his long and successful banking career, ultimately earning the position of executive vice-president. He graduated, with honors, from Brown University's Graduate School of Savings Banking. He was active in many groups and organizations, including Beverly's Dane Street Congregational Church, the Beverly Cove Improvement Association, the Essex County (banking) Forum, the Savings Bank Officers Club, the Lynn (Mass.) Camera Club, the First Presbyterian Church of New Bern, the New Bern Camera Club (where he served as president), the Scottish Heritage Society of Eastern North Carolina, the local AARP Chapter, and the Lower Neuse Bird Club.
Always devoted to his family, Bud and his loved ones enjoyed snow skiing, camping, travel, photography, and caring for their pets. In retirement, Bud and Connie enjoyed several memorable trips across America and abroad. An expert "do-it-yourselfer," he thoroughly enjoyed maintaining and improving his home and property with talents in carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, and landscaping. Bud enjoyed life!
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church of New Bern.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The First Presbyterian Church Capital Campaign Fund, P.O. Box 1069, New Bern, NC 28563, or to the charity of one's choice.

Connie, Alan, Joyce, Andrea and extended family. Barbara and I wish to express our most heartfelt sympathy and thoughts for the passing our favorite Uncle Bud. He so much reminded me (Robert), of my father with his looks and his sense of humor and witty expressions. We had such a memorable time together last November and I am sure this would also make my father so happy to know how much we cared and loved Uncle Bud. He was a true gentleman and good natured man in all ways that will leave positive and warm indelible memories of his time on this earth. We look forward to seeing all the family again and share our warm thoughts about Uncle Bud and keep our memories of him to console us all and we shall keep him and his family in our prayers.
Love always, Robert & Barbara
