Hugh Nicholas Ford

1927 - 2024

Hugh Nicholas Ford passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the age of 96. He was born on December 6, 1927 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Metairie, LA. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Ann Ford, their sons Michael Ford (Beatriz) and David Ford (Kathleen), granddaughters, Kimberly and Kelly, and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Liam, Isla, and Luke. Hugh was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Navy veteran and longtime employee of Jefferson Parish working in the capacity as planning and zoning director. He was also a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Metairie and a member of Lakeside Kiwanis Club. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him during his long life. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W Metairie Ave, Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a Mass to begin at 1PM. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
