J. Anglea Obituary

ANGLEA J. Thomas Anglea, 49, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Tom bravely battled brain cancer for the past 19 months, and peacefully departed this temporary life while at the Kobacker House surrounded by family. Tom's life was committed to Jesus, and his family cherishes the memoires of his faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus' faithful love for him. Tom would want us to remember the assurance given by knowing Jesus, and to live, trust and rest in Him. Tom was born on November 3, 1962 and raised in College Park, GA. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1980 and then attended Bryan College in Dayton, TN where he graduated with honors in 1984. He began his teaching career at Worthington Christian High School as an Algebra I and Geometry teacher. Tom served as the Principal of Worthington Christian High School for the past 18 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lisa; daughter, Sarah (Zac) Hess; and son, Matthew; godly parents, Robert and Amanda Anglea; brothers, Terry (Joyce) Anglea and Tim (Julie) Anglea; parents-in-love, Lowell (Barbara) Kline; brothers and sisters-in-love, Terry (Kelly) Herbst, Mike (Cheryl) Kline; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was an active member and deacon at Grace Polaris Church for the past 28 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Grace Polaris Church, 8225 Worthington-Galena Rd., Westerville, Ohio to honor a life well lived, Pastors Mike Yoder, Rick Nuzum, and Tim Waggoner, officiating. We were so blessed to have Mr. Angel teach our son, Neil. Neil told Mr. Angel that he couldn't see the red on the blackboard that Mr. Angel was using in teaching math (Neil is very color-blind) so Mr. Angel said "well, we'll find a color you can see" and promptly did. Neil felt such love for this man of God and we are all sorry for your great loss. May you always feel the loving arms of Jesus comforting you in your sorrow. We all know where Tom is and that he is at peace with his Lord.

I am so sorry for your loss, but eternally grateful that Tom is with Jesus. I met some of your family at Kobecker House where my Mom went to be with Jesus September 30th. The last people I talked with after my Mom's death at Kobecker House were Tom's Mom and Dad. I was so impressed with their faith and the faith of your daughter. May God's grace keep you in His care through the days ahead. You have been a real testimony of faith, and your church family has been a testimony of God's great love. I have shared your story with our church, and pray for you.

In Christian love,

Anglea Family,

We were saddened to hear of Tom's earthly passing, but comforted knowing he is now in the presence of our Lord. We knew Tom from Worthington Christian Schools. Our son, Wesley, graduated in 2003. Tom's smile and his wonderful example of living for and demonstrating our Savior's presence in his life meant so much to our son, as well as many others who had the pleasure to have had him as a teacher/principal.

May the love of God sustain you, peace be with you, and God's promise comfort you.

I will never forget the day I sat in Tom's office at WCHS, where along with Kent Homoelle, they allowed me the incredible privilege of becoming the WCHS Varsity Baseball Team Head Coach. Without question, those were the three most fulfilling years of my life. Tom's devotion to the Lord, his firm but loving leadership and the agape love that he had for his family was a powerful example to me. Tom also stood by me during some very difficult times in my personal life. He was a great man hear on earth and he will be a better "Angel" in Heaven. Lisa and family, I know this is hard, but know the impact that your husband and dad had on so many people was a blessing to all. We were so lucky that the Lord shared him with us for the time He did.

All our love, Tom Ensign and family.

Dearest Anglea Family ~
It was an honor to know your family beyond the "small world" we discovered between us. Your family showed so much love and faith in our Lord throughout your weeks at Kobacker. I only wish I had known Tom, but certainly have a very clear idea of the man and devoted servant he was. I rejoice with you in knowing where he is, and at the same time offer my hope and prayer that your feeling of loss and sadness will be replaced with smiles and heart felt memories beyond your grief. I know your family has plenty of wonderful times to re-live, lovingly captured on your blog and photo books!!
Thank you sharing your journey ~ Cindy Elson

John 14: 1-3 "do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. In my father's house there are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you". Amen! Thank you, Tom, oh faithful servant, for going ahead of us...we will meet again and it will be glorious! Thank you, Lisa and family for being a living testimony of what it means to trust fully in God's promise...you are loved!
