Sadly, I only heard about Jack's passing recently, between dealing with illness and being out of the area quite a bit.He certainly was unique, and had a very cool take on life.In the '90s I got to know he and his first wife Linda very well, and enjoyed many a pleasant time with them.I hope his family is well, and pressing on with things', as that is all one can really do.He put a smile on many a locals' face, and leaves much good karma behind.

My dear friend, you'll truly be missed by many. Will never forget those NY trips to the Big East tourneys.....the fun we had and the people we met..... rendezvous later at the Blarney Stone...and made the cover of SI! Many, many soccer talks. You loved my boys and they both loved putting one into the net for their "Ripper". I can hear your "hey Ditch" in my ears as if your right next to me. May God Bless You.

My prayers to Jack's family and friends. My heart is heavy with the news of his passing. I worked side by side with Jack for many years at RRD. He helped to pass the time with his stories and jokes. He just helped make the day or night go by a bit better. I enjoyed his humor and company. Boy, do I remember him busting my chops when the Yanks lost, just as I would return the favor with his Soxs. Jack you will be missed and I can see you now, in a huddle with Christ, hands over his shoulder, explaining what to do with a soccer balls. God be with you

Jack was one of my closest friends at the beach when we were in our teens. We came back together a couple of years ago and enjoyed hearing our youthful exploits. Ah, misbegotten youth...Jack, old friend, you will be missed. You touched many lives, including this one. West Beach just won't be the same.
