Elbert H Watrous Jr.

Rotterdam-Elbert H. Watrous, Jr, born January 8, 1942, passed away on December 13, 2025. Father, Grandfather, Husband, Son, Cousin, and Friend. To some, he was Skip; to us he was Dad, Papa, and Grandpa. He laughed, listened, and cared, for his children and grandchildren, his parents, his wife, and his friends. A graduate of Linton High School, Hope College, and Albany Law School - he was a lawyer by profession and a farmer at heart. He loved to drink coffee by the fire and to be outside: planting seeds, watching birds, and driving his tractor. He was a friend of Bill W. and walked the walk, teaching through his positive example how hard work can bring growth. We will cherish his memory always. He is pre-deceased by his parents (Eleanor L. Watrous and Elbert H. Watrous, Sr.) and his loving wife (Nancy M. Watrous), and he is survived by his children Karen Johnson, John Watrous (Christiane), and Tom Watrous (Kristen), and his five amazing grandchildren Tyler Johnson, Anne Watrous, Liam Watrous, Ethan Watrous, and Nora Watrous. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please offer help, support, or charity to another in need.
