Jacob Meshell Obituary
STONEWALL, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Jacob Aaron Mouser Meshell, 18, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012, at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening between the hours of 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Jacob was born on April 6, 1994, in Shreveport, LA and passed away suddenly on May 6, 2012. He was a Senior at Southwood High School and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jacob enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, baseball and hanging out with his friends. He had an outgoing and friendly personality and was liked by many and loved by all.
Jacob is survived by his father, Justin Mouser; mother, Jacqueline Meshell; brothers, Jeffrey, Jaxon, and Ramsey; sister, Juliahna; maternal grandparents, Doug and Brenda Carter and Carl Meshell; paternal grandparents, Sammy and Marilyn Mouser; aunts, Janell Teeters, Mandy Meshell, and Kelly Carter; and numerous great-aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Gage Meshell, Trevor Rivers, Derek Herrington, Hunter Lepert, Drew Smith, Matt Garcia, Michael Meredith, and Nelson Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Bethea, Colby Boulay, and the Southwood Baseball Team.

When Jacob lived in Minden, he attended my youth group. During those years, I had the opportunity to take him to church camp with our youth! He loved baseball, but he was always willing to miss practice to go to camp and learn more about God's love.
That boy would keep me on my toes!! I will miss our conversations and hearing about all of his girl troubles!

I'm sorry I was unable to make it to visitation and the funeral, but Jacob will always have a special place in my heart! You can never get enough of that smile!

I didn't know Jacob or any of his family, but it broke my heart when I heard the news. Praying for all who loved him. There's a song that truly sounds like jacob. Heaven was needing a hero, by jo dee masina. I hope you find some comfort in that song. Rip sweet Jacob.

Jacob will be missed by the Woods' family.Coty and Bailey (Hutton's little brother and sister) have been talking about last summer and Jacob playing with them in the pool. We knew Jacob through his grandparents, Sammy and Marilyn, and his Dad, Justin. Such a hard thing death is, especially when it takes our young. I remember we were in the middle of bathing this adorable little baby boy in the kitchen sink at Jac's dads house when Mr Carl ran in screaming that the house was on fire. As Jac ran to call 911, I scooped that sweet little baby up and ran out of the house to the neighbors totally freaked out not believing what was happening. I will never forget that or you or your family. With all my heart and soul I am so sorry for your loss Jac. I have a testimony that families can be together forever and I know that someday you will be reunited with Jacob again. Until then I pray you feel his presence with you always wherever you go and trust in the fact that the Lord has his arms wrapped around Jacob preparing him for his new mission on the other side of the veil. The Lord must have great things in store for that blessed spirit for Him to have called Jacob home so early. Sending my deepest condolences and all my love and prayers in hopes that you will be comforted and find peace soon. God bless you and your family.

The Meshell family is in my family and I's thoughts and prayers . Even though i didn't really know Jacob that well i can say that he will be missed by many & loved by all. Jacob was one of my kindergarten students. I still remember that sweet smile and those kind eyes. I could see how much he was loved then, and I can see how much more he is loved now. Hold on to those sweet, fun memories...I am sure you have many. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jacob, every time I picked you up for youth, you always told me thanks. I should have been thanking you for your smile. I'm glad you were friends with my children and that you touched their lives. Some things we will never understand. The only thing that is certain is that heaven has gained another angel, and that he will forever be looking over his family and friends! We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Jacob. His accident happened in our yard.
