CARMODY, JAMES FRANCIS LTC USA (Ret.) (Age 79) On Wednesday, February 25, 2004 of McKinney, TX. Formerly a resident of Springfield, VA for 35 years. He was the beloved husband of 55 years of Anne Carmody; loving father of Barbara Groff and her husband Bob of McKinney, TX; grandfather of Christopher James Groff. Also surviving are his sisters, Peggy Neumayer and Kathleen Byron, both of Massachusetts. The family will be receiving friends at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME OF ARLINGTON, 4510 Wilson Blvd; on Sunday, May 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Fort Myer Old Post Chapel on Monday, May 3, at 12:45 p.m. Interment with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Friends and family attending the funeral service, please enter through the Memorial Drive Gate at Arlington National Cemetery.
