James Robert Cavender

I just found out about his passing, just breaks my heart. He was so incredible kind to me after my husband left me in a financial hardship. He purchased jewelry and ranch items from me so I could exist. I would have lost my home, if it weren't for him. I never in my life have received so much assistance, advice from a total stranger. He would call to check on me periodically. I just want to say how blessed I was to have known such a man.

May the God of comfort be with the family at this most difficult time. We are sorry for loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Cavender Family. I did lots of real estate business with James that I got to know him well. He would share his stories with me of his humble beginnings.... He came to my business the first day I bought it from Jerry Elkins and gave me my first dollar and signed it for me. I still have it in a book shelf in my office. I look at it often and think of how he helped me buy this business from Jerry through his advice and actions. He was not going to see...
