James Coscarelli Obituary

James "Jim" T. Coscarelli

Williamston

Our loving husband, father, brother Jim, went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 9, 2016 at the age of 57. Jim was the son of Irene Lucille (Falbo) and Alfonso Joseph Coscarelli, born June 3, 1958.

Jim was most happy when he could spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music, playing his guitar, watching MSU sports, and had a soft spot for dogs and cats. He also loved spending time outdoors, camping, and he had a good sense of humor. Jim worked 35+ years at Sparrow Hospital.

James was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Kathy Coscarelli, and brother-in-law Charles Rogers. Surviving to cherish Jim's memory are his loving wife Tonya, children Connor, Emily and Gabby Coscarelli, siblings Robert (Mary) Coscarelli, Marilyn Rogers, Donald Coscarelli, John Coscarelli, Tom Coscarelli, Joseph (Donna) Coscarelli, Alan (Mary) Coscarelli, Art (Klisti) Coscarelli, brother-in-law Patrick (Beth) Hagerty Jr., sister-in-law Tammy (Neal) Francisco, father-in-law Patrick Hagerty Sr., thirteen nephews, eleven nieces and many great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11th from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, February 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church of Williamston, 157 High St.

The Rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Christian Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 13th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark Rutherford officiating. The family will also be receiving friends for visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the College Trust-fund for Jim's children; Edward Jones, 3410 Belle Chase Way, Ste. 500, Lansing, MI 48911. Please write "Coscarelli Children" in memo.

The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel.

I had the good fortune to work with Jim years ago in Sparrow's pre-op. This is stunningly sad news as Jim was truly one of the "good" guys.

The world is a little worse off with the loss of this sweet, gently, friendly man. He touched many lives in a caring and positive way. We were very good friends since the 70's. Jim was my first boss in corporate America when we both worked at Arthur Treacher's, and of course, he was a great boss. I like all who knew him will miss him very much. Tonya and the entire Coscarelli family, my heart goes out to your loss of beloved James T.

Tonya and Family! I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy and loved by many. The last time I saw him was passing in the hall at Sparrow and we chatted. I was so sad to hear of his cancer and then all you have had to go through. He will never be forgotten. Hugs and God bless and may you find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain.

We are so very sorry. Jim was such a great guy, we've known him and his brothers for years. Jim was the first person to hold our son, Ryan, 34 years ago when he was born at Sparrow. Great memories of Jim when we would all be out hearing the band back in the day. Again, so sorry to his wife and children and all of you who loved him, Jim was truly a blessing in your life and will be missed. He'll be with you in a different way and may you find comfort that he is resting in peace and watching over you. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers, God Bless.
