It's strange how it seems like only yesterday we were so young up at the lake at grandma and grandpa Heare's house. I know this hurts more than words could ever convey. I wish there was something I could do or say that would lighten the load, but what I do know is that Jimmy will be waiting for everyone in heaven. He was and always will be a beautiful young man in spirit, soul, and body.

While I never had the honor of meeting James personally, I am fortunate to share in his life through his mother and family and the stories they share. I love and miss you more than you will ever know. This journey does not get any easier, but it changes along the way. I know you are safe and watching over me, your sister and Steve. I think of you every single day and have received and value the fabulous signs you send to me. The pink item was the best!! I know you will always be watching down on Jillianne and your niece Tyler Kaye. I will rock her every chance I get and tell her stories about her Uncle James. I am sure she will have some of you in her. The tender heart, the smile, the orneriness, the time out chair and all the love you could ever give to her. She will light up a room when she walks in just like you, she will make us all laugh again and she will be a blessing to us all. Please continue to watch over Uncle Jeff and Grandma and Granpa Lobsiger. They are all so excited about the new baby!! In the heavens, watch over Steve’s parents and all the great grandparents. I long to hug and touch you and will see you again someday. Until then we keep your memory alive with a benefit each year for the Humane Society and we rescued a doxie this year. Dear Jimmy,
It has been three years today since you have gone to heaven and we still miss you very much! But we are sure you are in a much better place and do not have to deal with your illness each and every day, and that is a blessing to us. At times we felt your illiness was a little overwhelming to you. As you know you are about to become an uncle to Tyler Kaye Bovine. She is to make her appearence in about three weeks. We are all very excited and anxious meet her. We know you would have enjoyed spending time with her, as you always had a place in your heart for little children. She would have been very special to you because she is sister JIllianne's baby. We know you will be watching over her from heaven and enjoying her as well. We will always let her know about you and show her pictures of you, so she will learn about you. We hope in the future to make an photo album to give to Tyler and Jilli for references so when they talk about you , Tyler can see who you are. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine losing a child or grandchild. Nothing can ever break the bond between Jimmy and you. Memories are very precious.
I remember when Jimmy was four+ and followed me downstairs to the laundry room, which has no windows, and as soon as I got to the middle of the room he turned the light out and shut the door. He went on his merry way upstairs, as I with hands held out was searching for my way to the door. It must be in the Heare genes, his cousins, Logan and Ashton, have followed his footsteps when they were younger. Mike and I thought of Jimmy when that happened. God bless!

Memories are a gift unlike any other. Whether it be a picture, a song, or in remembering the love James had of animals and creating the "First Annual Feed the Puppies and Kittens Benefit" in his memory. There are just no words to put around the loss of a child. It is just too big. Rebecca and family, Before I left for Europe last summer I was given an angel to keep me safe and a coin to remind me. Even though I didn't know Jimmy, I think he was watching over me (probably because his mom told him he better:). I remember several times I would have missed my train but for a kind stranger offering to carry my suitcase. It may seem small, but to a girl traveling Europe alone, it meant the world. Thank you for sharing your angel when I needed one most.

My heart just aches for you and your family. I will always see James running down the gym, dribbling his basketball at Portage Middle School. My prayers are that you feel Christ's peace that surpasses all understanding.

Dear Ken and Jamie and Bill and Virginia:
I just got home from mass and I was remembering Jim all the way thru it. As I was sitting there I thought what have I to fear as I find myself leaning on family and and Christ's ever lasting arms.
