James King Obituary


Family-Placed Death Notice

James L. King, 78 of Dunwoody died October 24, 2004. Mr. King was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a long standing member of North Peachtree Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen King. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Evelyn King, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Susan King, Alpharetta, grandchildren, Steven and Hannah King, brothers, Milton King, Boyd King, E. V. King, C. L. King and Horace King, sisters, Barbara Ann NeCaise, Margie Rice and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27 at 2 o'clock at North Peachtree Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Gastley officiating. Interment North Atlanta Memorial Park. Those who prefer, please make donations to North Peachtree Baptist Church, 4805 Tilly Mill Rd., Doraville, GA 30360. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill 4550 Peachtree Rd. 404-261-3510

J O was one special person. He overcame huge obstacles with the vigor of a true survivor, with a very caring heart. We truly miss him, and remember him with love.
