James "Jimmy" Mundt
October 24, 1949-November 6, 2023
James "Jimmy" Mundt, 74, of Long Grove, IA passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. Cremation will be done with no services at this time. Condolences maybe shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
James was born October 24, 1949 in Davenport, IA to Robert and Lois (Biel) Mundt. He worked as an electrician for 50 years prior to his retirement and was a proud member of the IBEW Local 145 of Moline, IL. Jimmy was a humble, generous man who cherished time with his family and friends, he will be missed.
Jimmy is survived by a son, Ryan (Izumi Kobayashi) Mundt, Tokyo, Japan; two grandchildren, Louie and Emi Mundt; brother, Ralph Mundt, IN; and a sister, Kaye (Richard) Thiessen, Blue Grass, IA.
James was preceded in death by a son, Eric Mundt in 2006 and two brothers, Paul Mundt and Bob Stark.

Living across the alley from the Mundt family Jim was known to have a good, if very dry, sense of humor. Rest in peace Jim.
