One of the special folks I met when I first arrived in Nashville were Dick and Jane Eskind. Little did I know the impact they would both make on our Jewish community, local community and national community. Jane was simply way ahead of her time which makes her the trailblazer for women and civil rights. Her accomplishments are far reaching and will be felt by many for many years to come. And some of that impact will be felt by those who had no idea who was behind it. She was no "plain Jane". We love her and will miss her.

I have known Jane Greenebaum Eskind all of my life!
She was the precious "little girl" at the many family events where Mother and I were included.
Watching her grow up, and growing up myself at the wonderful table in their home, where all matter of issues were discussed, has been a continuing gift to me. I am sad, but know that it is God's blessing that Jane has been
released from her illness. Milt and I send sympathy and love to all the family, and to all who love her. Jane Everhart Rand
