Janet Petrilli Obituary
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Janet A. Petrilli, 66, of Springfield, died on Friday, April 8, 2016, at St. John's Hospital.
Janet was born May 9, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Ernest and Lela Dodge Bumpus.
Janet was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and worked at King Pin Lanes for many years. She retired from Wells Fargo a few years ago.
She was a lifelong Northender and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed bowling and riding on the motorcycle.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Bumpus; and two brothers, Don and infant brother, Gerald Bumpus.
She is survived by her mother, Lela Bumpus; children, David (Cathie) Petrilli and Nichole (Chris) Higgins; nine grandchildren: Ryan, Riley, Eli, Ethan, and Esme Higgins, Bella and Dominic Petrilli, and Austin and Nikki Niggemeyer; brother, Jimmy (Lorelei) Bumpus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield, IL 62702 or a charity of the donor's choice.
