I was fortunate to be reunited with my 1st cousin Janet some 50 plus years after last seeing her at the Sacramento home of my Aunt and Uncle Theresa and Mark Separovich in the late 1940's and early 1950's. I thank God that I was blessed during the past few years with the opportunity of engaging with Janet a few times before her untimely passing in October 2010. My love and condolences to the family, Melinda "Cecchettini" Barry Haber.

Dear Kathy & Family -

We were finally able to get to this website and read all these amazing tributes to Auntie Janet! She truly was an incredibly happy person and never seemed to allow people to dampen her spirit. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend time with her on our many visits. It's wonderful to think of how many people will always remember her with loving thoughts. May God bless you and all your family. We love you - Rob, Kathie, Steph & Melissa

This is Auntie's nephew Mike. I found a little treasure in Auntie's car the other day. It was a special song...that was actually in her CD player...please download it and listen to it carefully. I'm sure she played it over and over and I'm sure it will move you...The Rugged Cross by Brad Paisley, off the CD "Part II"

I was so sorry to hear about Janet's passing and I send my sympathy to all who loved her. We worked together for many years. She was always so full of life and so funny. She could light up a room and never ran out of stories to tell. We used to talk about the angels on our shoulders and how much they had to write. I'm very sure the angel on her right kept running out of ink and the one on her left just sat there bored. I'll miss that smile that could light up the room and her beautiful laugh. Rest in peace friend, until we meet again. <3

I met Janet when I first working for the Secretary of State. She was a fun and hard working person. She worked in the Name Availability section of the Secretary of State. Mary Senna and I have worked with Janet and remembered her as a sincere and kind person. I later found we had a friend in common that we both new while going to City College. We are all sadden by her passing so quickly. Years later I wanted to hire her at another state department but Janet was very loyal to her agency and declined. I would have liked her to come over because I knew she was a sincere and dedicated worker. Mary Senna and I send our deepest sympathy and prayers to her family. We will miss her dearly.

I was amazed at the service yesterday, at how many friends were present who met Janet 30+ years ago at the Newman Center. It is a testament to the quality of person Janet was. It is easy to have friends, but very special to keep them. We will miss her.

Janet and I attended Holy Spirit. We were in the same classes and were close friends during that time. After graduation, my family relocated and we lost touch. One of my funniest memories was an incident with a cup of water and a certain nun. I found out about Janet from a co-worker who use to work with her. My prayers and thoughts go to Janet's family.

I am so sorry to hear about Janet's passing. I only knew her when we were kids on 6th Avenue. She and I played with our dolls in her basement. She was fun to be with and loved to laugh and sing. She taught me "Oh Playmate" which I remember to this day.

Janet (Auntie) lived life to the fullest and had no regrets. She had an extremely active social life. She had a lot of friends and many were best friends. She laughed and made others laugh. She loved and was loved. She had strong faith in God and inspired others. She was compassionate and giving. She was always there for her family and friends. She was a beautiful daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and co-worker. She had extraordinary wit and an infectious laugh. She was irresistible. Auntie, we will miss you more than you will ever know.

Dear Aunt Kathy, Gordon, Linda, Stan, Michael, Jill, Jessica, Dale, Jake, Grace and Little Sammy...

My heart is beyond broken. I was very saddened by the news of Aunt Janet passing. I am so grateful that I got to see her not long ago and also so grateful for the big hugs we shared! She was always smiling and making those of us around her smile also. She was so fun to visit with.... always laughing out loud! She loved you all so much and also shared her joy and love with us, the extended family. She was beautiful on the inside and out! I will miss her terribly!

I love you all and hope in time there will be peace in place of the pain.

Big Hugs...
