JANINE A. "JAKE" HIGGINS, 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in North Manchester, Ind., Janine was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She loved her family, her many friends, card games, especially bridge and golf. Surviving are her children Molly O. (Bob) McNeice of Vancouver, B.C.; John T "Tim" Higgins and Patrick J. (Charla) Higgins both of Fort Wayne, Ind., Kelly A. Higgins of McKinney, Texas and Michael H. Higgins of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Janine was preceded in death by her parents, Deloise E. and Delores G. Keesey; and husband, Frank A. Higgins in 1976. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.
