Jeanette Kathleen Riggs, age 74, of Chesterfield, passed away on May 4, 2022. Jeanette was born April 28, 1948 in Detroit, to the late William & Ella (Schneider) Walters. Jeanette attended Osborn & Pershing High Schools. She earned an Associate's Degree of Science & Technology. Jeanette worked as a Switchman at Michigan Bell, Ameritech, AT&T for 30 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Detroit, St. Peter's in Eastpointe and St. Peter's Lutheran in Richmond. Jeanette is survived by her children, Jennifer (Aaron) Berch, Jacqueline Charlebois, Janie (Edward) Peltz, Jessica (James) Laperriere, Jeremy (Janice) Dargitz; grandchildren, Jessica (Zac) Smith, Jazmin Cathers, Jonathon (Laura) Peltz, Haley Jaworski, Hannah Jaworski, James Laperriere, Nicholas Dargitz, Julianna Laperriere, Joseph Laperriere, Jocelyn Laperriere, Laney Dargitz; siblings, Albert Walters, Denise (Michael) Collins, Crystal Walters, Sheila (Robert) Kile, James (Kim) Walters, Laura (Greg) McCrory; many nieces and nephews; and her God Children, Aaron Curtis, Dwayne Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Brian Walters. Visitation for Jeanette will be held Monday, May 9, 2- 8 pm at Kaul Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 10 am until the Funeral at 11 am, Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
