Jeanne Gibbons Obituary

GIBBONS, Jeanne K. 83, formerly of Harwich, died Feb. 4th, 2009. Mrs. Gibbons was the wife of the late John J. Gibbons to whom she was married for 53 years. Jeanne was a graduate of Watertown, MA High School and Regis College, Class of 1947. She raised her family primarily in Norwood, MA prior to relocating to Harwich in 1972. During her time on the Cape she was employed for many years at Dickey Insurance of Dennisport. Jeanne is survived by her four children and their spouses who will miss her greatly, John and Alicia Chin-Gibbons of Amherst, MA, Joanne and Paul Uvanitte of Quincy, MA, David and Debra Gibbons of Harwich, MA, and Mark and Tracey Gibbons of Portland, ME. Mrs. Gibbons was also grandmother to seven; Emily, Cailin, Kevin, Kim, Gary, Sarah, and Diane. A visitation will be held at Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St., HARWICH, MA from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday Feb. 9, 2009. A Service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Harwich at 11 a.m. on Monday also. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in W. Roxbury following the mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Regis College Alumni Fund, 235 Wellesley St., Weston, MA 02493.

Grandma,
I Miss You So much. im proud to call myself your grandson. I Look back at the times when i was young and i came to visit you on cape cod. those memories ill keep forever. its almost been a year now since youve passed and i cant tell you how much weve grown up. Kim is now 9 years old, Cailin is now 36 and Emily is now 34 and im now 23. Sarah is a senior @ UMass & Diane well shes a freshman @ UMass. Please continue to look down on us with grandpa
