Jeffrey Charles Obituary

Jeffrey Charles passed away due to complications of COVID on Dec. 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Nan Charles.

Jeffrey is survived by wife, Dale and children, Jena Charles and partner, Adam Wood, Kaitlin (Charles) Dernier and husband, Derek, Shelby (Charles) Hayward and husband, David, Meredith (Charles) Wallpe and husband, Zac, Amy Kwiatkowski and husband, Sean and BJ Zielinski and wife, Tiffany; grandchildren Carter, Rosalie, Louis, Everett, Jordan, Lucas, Livia and Lena; brother, John Charles and wife, Mary, sister, Dana Charles Clark and husband, Jim and nieces, Tara, Megan and Keri.

Born on Jan. 24, 1953, Jeffrey grew up in Kingston and graduated from Wyoming Valley West in 1970, before attending Wilkes University. He reveled in the friends he made in the Wyoming Valley, from Reese's Park to Edwardsville and beyond. These friendships were cherished throughout his life, as was his Syrian, Lebanese and Welsh heritage.

Jeff relocated to Kansas City, Mo., where he raised four beautiful daughters. He always made sure to be present in their lives and loved teaching his girls about the importance of family, working hard and caring for each other. He was always so proud of them and each one inherited his well-known sense of humor.

Jeff was an active member with his local Elks Lodge and held the position of Exalted Ruler from 1996 to 1997. He was an avid golfer and devoted Chiefs fan who loved reviewing plays with his daughters and grandchildren throughout every game. An award-winning car enthusiast, he was particularly proud of his restored Mustang.

He eventually moved back to Pennsylvania, where he met and married Dale Falcone, the love of his life. With her, he found true happiness. Jeffrey and Dale moved to Florida a few years ago to begin a new chapter together. He was thrilled that many of his friends also relocated to Florida, where friendships of 60 years continued. Jeff especially loved when his daughters came down to visit so he could spend time with them and his grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as Papa. He held the position of Trustee at the Weeki Wachee Eagles Club and developed great friendships there. Jeff will be missed and remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Stan Daniels and I moved to Florida in 2016 and to Spring Hill where Jeff and Dale resided. Jeff and Stan had been friends since 2nd grade and remained friends till today. We were all members of Weeki Wachee Eagles 4372. They are the reason we live here today. Jeff you were a loving, funny wonderful man and we loved you dearly. We will have many memories to hold dear to our hearts forever. Dale we love you and your family dearly. God love you all and Stan and I are always here for you all.
