Jeffrey Swain Jackson

Jeffrey Swain Jackson, 67, was called home by his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2025. Jeff was born to Grace Swain and Henry Z. (Red) Jackson, Sr. on April 18, 1957. After graduating high school from Kernersville Wesleyan Academy, he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music / Organ and Voice at Loyola University in New Orleans. Music was Jeff's passion his entire life and he lived out that passion by playing piano and organ for various local churches as well as singing in church choirs, most recently at Centenary Methodist Church. For a number of years his dad and he sang together in the annual Winston-Salem Mozart's Club's production of "Handel's Messiah." As a life-long Moravian he also shared his brass instrument talents by playing at the Easter Sunrise Service in God's Acre and at numerous Moravian graveside services.

In addition to his musical talents, Jeff was a talented upholsterer and gave new life to chairs, couches and pillows for numerous clients and friends. Having spent a short time studying horticulture at NC State, Jeff also excelled at growing indoor and outdoor plants as a hobby.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and father and his beloved niece Bethanie Lauren Worley. He is survived by his sister Terrie Jackson Miller and brother Hank Jackson (Carol), nieces Katie Worley (Wake Wagner), Samantha Worley, Kimberly Hensley (Allie) and Melissa Jackson, grandnieces Winifred Wagner, Josephine Wagner, Gracie Worley, Sierra Worley, Savanna Worley and Amaya Worley, and nephew Zeb Worley (Larissa).

Funeral services will be held Sunday January 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Konnoak Hills Moravian Church, Rev. John D. Rights officiating. Visitation with the family will begin one hour earlier at 1:00 p.m. at the church. A private graveside service will follow in God's Acre.
