Jerry... here we are. 2 years later from when your body left this earth and decided to fly high above us all in spirit. I miss you. There's be so many times you've crossed my mind, and a sign came right away, as confirmation you were there for me. Thank you for that. My boys were going through pictures the other day and found one of us and said look Mom, there's your friend Jerry! They are so sweet. They definitely will always remember you too. Who wouldn't... You are the most charismatic person. Your spirit is always a thought or prayer away, and I just want you to know that I appreciate that. I've seen your signs, and have heard your messages. I will continue to connect with you, forever. Thank you for making such a huge impact on me while you were here. You were so good to me Jerry. Always. I'll catch you on the flip side Love.

What can I say about Jerry? I've known him for a pretty long time...since the 6th or 7th grade I think. We got along since Day 1 and he always knew how to cheer someone up. I remember leaving for the Army and every now and then I'd get to come home on leave. I'd see Jerry out and about somewhere and we'd just pick right up where we left off. He was a Great Friend to all and I will miss him dearly. Rest Easy My Brother.

Jerry you had such a big heart. You always did go out of your way for anyone who meant something to you. We had some great times together, shared some good laughs. Played I dont know how many games of pool, which u normally beat me at hahahahaa. You had a mean stick since the days at the rec center on Cherry Point. I miss you so much brother, there's not a day that goes by. If I could have one last moment with you it would mean the world but life doesn't work that way down here. Until we meet again my friend...

It is sad when a life ends before its time. It is even sadder when that person brought so many people happiness and love. I remember how close you were to your friends and to your family. As you looked around a room I could see the way you cared for people. It's has been almost two years since I last saw you at El Cerros in Havelock, and when I saw you you had the kindest smile for me. I hope you find happiness wherever you may be know. I know that even though you are gone your spirit will continue to watch over your family and closest friends. Rest in Peace, Jerry.

I am so sorry I could not make his funeral. The one thing I will always remember about him is he would definitely tell you like it was and would be honest. He always gave great advice even when you didn't want to hear it! Jerry had a kind heart and a smile that would make anyone else smile even in a bad mood. He will definitely be missed!

Joe, Denise and family,

It was so nice to be part of Jerry's service. I personally never met him, but by what those who love him shared, I was able to see how much fun and loving he was to those around him.

May the Lord continue to heal your hearts, and give you the comfort only he can give.

Much love and blessings,
John and Suzanne

We became neighbors about 10 years ago. I remember the first time I met you, you thanked me for watching out for your "girls" at the daycare. You gave me a big hug and said those "girls" were your life. After a few years passed, we would joke back and forth about you "taking off your shirt". I miss seeing you walking down the street with that smile on your face. In so many ways, you have imprinted on people that you may not realize. The neighborhood is lonely and a little darker without you in it. Thank you for the good memories and the shirtless walks. You are loved dearly by so many people, until we meet again my friend and neighbor. Much love to you and the family.

It has been 12 years since I have seen you! You were the last person I saw in Havelock right before we left. I always told you I was coming back to visit cuz I wanted to say hi at least once while I was visiting but I never got a chance to go out there. I remember telling you that last year. Was suppose to be there the week you left but we changed plans and I wish I wouldnt of. You were always so nice and friendly no matter how grumpy I was. Always trying to make everyone laugh. Gosh we had some fun times and I am glad you were part of our lives. You are greatly missed Jerry!!! Your always on my mind!!!

The thing about Jerry that I will always carry with me is his walk with the Lord. Years ago, I had asked Jerry to be my brother through Christ, he without question accepted and from that day on I knew that I would always have love for him. The way he loved his family and nieces especially, the way he could just light up a room, he had a special light within him. Out of all the wildnessess going on in his world, Jerry had the Lord with him, and I could feel that most. I'm sure we will see each other again, until then my brother, watch over us in the name the Lord. My prayers go out the Cornwall family and all of 252, may God's grace be with you always

Sweet Jerry...
It is devastating & heart warming at the same time that I met you the day before you passed away. I'm so incredibly lucky, yet I wish we had more time. You bought me a pint of Ben & Jerry's (because you insisted a pregnant woman NEEDED it) but told me to save you a bite. :) It's still in the freezer Darlin. And yes, Chunky Monkey is legendary... I'm sorry you never got to try it :( You were just an amazing person who touched my heart instantly. When I was telling you about my children, like proud moms do, you were actually fascinated by what I had to say. You even asked me questions about them, which proves that you were paying attention & truly so kind hearted. Most people only pretend to listen to me brag about my 3 girls, just to amuse me. I wish they could've met you... You would've been their favorite!

The world lost a jewel the day you left us. That is a fact Jerry. You made a huge impact on my life in the short, single day I knew you, but I'm so blessed to have had that time. you will forever be entitled to my last bite of chunky monkey.

I'm gonna miss you brother. Rest easy.

Jerry, how you will be missed by so many. When I try to go back and think of a story to tell, I could never pick one that's my favorite. Halloween, birthdays, random Saturday nights, so many good times in Riverwalk. When you were around it was constant laughs and smlies, and I am so thankful to have these memories of all the fun times we had. My deepest condolences go to the Cornwall family, and praying for you during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers go to the Cornwall family. I'm at lose for words. I remeber back when we would kick when I was like 16 to just recently when he came flying up to the keg restaurant on a moped all crazy like when I came back to town to visit. Jerry was always the firat one id give a call to and he was always down to drop what he was doing to hang out for the short amoubt time i had in town. He always was a character and encouraged happiness and laughter even if at his own expense. Jerry you will never be forgotten. Rest easy my brother and see you again in another life.

Jerry had such a good heart under his seemingly tough exterior. :) Even after we parted ways we always had a mutual respect for each other- he would still email me on my birthdays, which shows just how sweet he was! He could always make people laugh, and I would get the best kick out of him trying to retell a story, but not being able to because he was laughing so hard! That is always how I will remember him, smiling and laughing even when he's trying to be so serious! Rest easy, Jeremy Alan.

My heart goes out to the entire Cornwall family. Everyone knows how I feel when I say there aren't words. I wasn't blood, but Jerry was my other brother & very much a part of our family. I'm glad we stayed in touch as long as we did, I can't imagine never seeing you again. The first time I did, you were skating next door, talking on the phone. & now you and Troy boy are prob doing the same thing. To the cornwall's, Ava, & Bella, I wish I was there today with all of you. sending light and healing your way. All of my love.

Jerry, there are no words that can capture what we were to each other. We had a special kind of love for one another born from circumstance. I know that it would stroke your ego to no end to see how much I am grieving over you. In fact, I can even see you saying, "if I knew this was all it took to make you realize how much you loved me..." I have to say, you never let a day go by without telling me how you felt. Sometimes it was random "I love you" texts, sometimes it was you calling me on speaker in front of your friends and forcing me to tell you I loved you too, and sometimes it was even you trying again and again to kiss me in front of your family while I continued to stiff arm you and run away laughing. But not a day went by when I didn't feel loved by you, and there is a piece of me that is gone forever. Oh and by the way, your sister told me about your ginger babies comment you made the other day...not funny! I love you so much. For me, there will never be another you. <3

Jerry was a great friend for only a short time, I remember at work one day we were cutting up of course, one of Jerry's fun days, and we unplugged his phone receiver, he didn't know it ... Darcy walked into the room and Jerry snatched up the phone like he was talking on it ...Darcy walked directly over to Jerry and picked up the end of the cord and said to Jerry ," who are you talking to Jerry"?BUSTED !!! I laughed so hard I cried and Jerry looked at Darcy and told her he was just testing her , boy did I laugh even harder , that was Jerry !! he could always make me laugh, love you Jerry- your friend, Miss Sylvia Taylor
