It's hard to find the right words to say about my friend and neighbor Ray. What a wonderful man to know! For years "Mr. Ray" has been an important part of our country neighborhood. Always smiling and forever positive about the world around him, Ray brightened the room wherever he went. I learned a lot from having Ray as my neighbor. He did all the technical work while showing me how to wire my own house 20+ years ago...so I will always think of him whenever I turn on a light in my house! I look forward to seeing his smile again one day in Heaven!

We will all sorely miss Ray. Ray made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Nearly 34 years ago when I came to work at Armstrong Ray welcomed me into the shop and was forever a jokester and prankster. Ray made everyone he met feel as though they had known him all their life. I will miss seeing him at the annual Armstrong Maintenance Breakfasts.

As a young man in the 1960's, I looked up to Ray when he was one of the Christian leaders at Lanier Heights Baptist Church on Cochran Short Route in Macon. He was a great leader.
