Jesus Rodriguez Obituary

Jesus C. Rodriguez
05/21/1966 - 02/14/2026
On Saturday, February 14, 2026 - Valentine's Day - at approximately 3:30 a.m., the gates of heaven opened wide to welcome Jesus C. Rodriguez. Born May 21, 1966, Raymondville, Texas, to María Isabel Castillo Rodriguez and Lorenzo Rodriguez Mata.
Grew up and studied in Houston. Attended De Zavala Elementary, Edison Middle School, and Austin High School, where he graduated with Honors . Beyond his academic success, he was an active member of the Automotive Club, reflecting his passion for working on cars from a young age. He later attended the University of Houston, majoring in Engineering. During this time, he worked to support his family while continuing his education. He married Olga Martinez, and they welcomed three children: Gabriela, Elizabeth, and Jesse.
Throughout his University years, he worked in numerous fields, from construction to a print shop, before becoming a licensed agent to sell auto and commercial insurance. Jesus' career in the insurance industry lasted until his passing, more than three decades. He earned recognition as a top producer on multiple occasions while benefiting from his entrepreneurship of owning his own Insurance Company.
Later he was blessed with another son, Jesus Rodriguez Jr., with his subsequent partner Brenda Cuellar. Brenda's son, Cesar Coto, also became part of his life, and Jesus lovingly embraced and raised him as his own.
Beyond his Insurance business, he operated a multi-service business, ranging from tax returns, title transfers, and various services. He took pride in being a dependable resource for those who needed his help. His work ethic, charisma, and dedication earned him respect from colleagues, clients, and the community he proudly served.
Family was primarily the center of his life. He always connected with parents, siblings, children, extended family, friends, and significant others. He loved socializing, celebrating life, telling jokes, and making others laugh. He was the life of the party, always ready to share joy, music, and good times. He enjoyed the countryside, fishing, and time away from the city. His cheerful personality, generous heart, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Jesus was honest, sincere, and humble spirited. He lived with integrity and led with his heart. His passing on Valentine's Day exemplifies the largest loving heart full of love and compassion that he had for family and everyone.
He was preceded in death by his mother, María Isabel Rodriguez, and his brothers, Evaristo Rodriguez and Francisco Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife Doris; his children Gabriela, Elizabeth, Jesse, Jesus Jr., and Cesar Coto; his goddaughter María Orozco; his grandchildren; his father Lorenzo Rodriguez; his sisters Maria, Marcy, Hortencia and Yolanda; his brothers Rogelio, Lorenzo, Rigoberto, and Carlos; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Today, we remember him with love, gratitude, and passion, knowing that his legacy lives in his children, his family, and every smile he brought to others.
Our unconditional love will survive his passing.
