Joe HICKS Obituary

HICKS, Joe Jr., 64 of Seffner, passed away January 8, 2013. Joe is a retired U.S. Air Force MSgt with 23 years of honorable service. He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Senior Noncommissioned Officers' Group. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Hicks Sr. and Queen M. Hicks, of Emporia, VA; and by his siblings, Matthew L. Hicks, Christopher C. Miles, Romie Hicks, Queen E. Hicks, Nellie Mae Hicks, Evangeline Lashley, Gloridine Ivey, and Brenda Sue Hicks. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maryruth Hicks; daughters Kimberly Hicks and Kelli Hicks; one granddaughter, Kiara Hicks; brothers, James Russell Miles, Cephus Hicks, William D. Hicks; and sisters, Mary Willie Hicks, Priscilla Hicks, and Lilly Pearl Jones. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. with a Time of Reflections at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Stowers Funeral Home chapel, Brandon, FL.
