John Edward Smith
1933-2021
John E. (Jack) Smith, age 87, from Houston, TX, was called to Heaven on June 20, 2021.
He was born in Latrobe, PA on December 13, 1933. He was married for over 60 years to his wife, Nancy Potts Smith.
Jack is preceded in death by his mother Mary McGinnis Smith Watkins; father Paul Emory Smith; brothers Harry and Chuck Smith, and James Watkins; son-in-law Richard Staudt; and grandchild Bryn Owen.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; sisters Janet Latimer (James) and Linda Schweitzer; brothers Don Smith (Jan) and Joe Smith (Marcia); children Lorrie Kimble (Brad), Kristy Owen (John), Kelly Staudt (Mitch Daniels), Kerrie Shojaie, Dr. James Smith (Carey), and Brandon Smith (Stephanie); 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Nancy & family:
Delores Maloy called & said Jack had died. I was very sorry to hear such sad news. Please know that you and your family have my deepest sympathy. You, Jack & your family have been in my prayers for years. Lots of great memories with your family. I am living in Blairsville with my 99 year old Mother. If you are in PA, please call. Love and prayers to all.
