Not sure what to say?

Mary and Bailey, no words can express the feelings we are left with but know John was well liked by anyone who came in contact with him. He always had a smile and just made a person feel good, always a laugh. Even though it has been awhile since I seen John, he certainly left his mark on all he came in contact with. Always smiling. Love to you both and Tom too. I feel sure that all his good friends will keep you going Mary. Janet Miller (Ricketts)

Never will it make sense when a loved was is taken from us. Healing is different for everyone and I hope that you and your family finds peace quickly. Mary I am so sorry for your loss.

Mary & Bailey, I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. The memories of us all growing up with John are unforgettable. He was a kind, generous, positive person who could teach us all the best values of life! He was called to God because he is needed to be the Angel in our lives. As you know, they take the best early! I know you are hurting, but know that his job as an Angel is important and he will always be around you and Bailey. May his memories and wise outlook (in his statements) carry you through the difficult times you will experience. Hold these memories close to your heart! I love you, Deanne (Warrick-McQuarrie).

Dear Mary Pat
Erin just called to let me know about the service in Granite Falls. I wish I could have been there also.
I feel so close to you at this moment. We can share so many memories. The loss of a spouse is profound. Draw from the strength we all have for you...there are no words to console nor advice that helps...God guides:let him help you...as the waves of sorrow come, know they will go away..never loose his memory and keep him in your heart forever.

I needed to polish the poem a little more
This is the revised version. Sorry John for not getting it quite right the first time - but you have always been forgiving to people like me. I named the poem "JWW" and it was inspired by the song from RUSH: Vapor Trails - see those lyrics and you may feel as I do that they express the feeling of his passing and loss - but what my poem hopes to add is that he is only gone from us, for now, but not forever... Forever is where he has gone to prepare to meet us again...
~ J. W. W. ~

The Vapor Trail John has left behind

As so suddenly we could not him find

will influence many for good, as he

rides the spirit clouds, where he's by our sides

He begins a second journey into the night sky

Still our paths will cross over and meet by and by

With Angels he will fly, on these clouds of wings

Climbing higher, his genuine song he sings

He goes to teach, learn and love some more -

As he always has had what it takes to soar…

June 21, 2013

I was reminiscing a little more today, sad that I cannot be at the funeral for my buddy... and John inspired me to this Poem:

The Vapor Trail that John has left behind
As so quickly we were not him to find
will influence many for good, as he rides
the spirit clouds, where he is by our sides
He begins a second journey into the night sky
Still our paths will cross over and meet by and by
He goes to teach, learn and love some more -
He has always had what it takes to soar

Mary & Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. John was an amazing man. I've known John as far back as I can remember from the laundry mat. What an impact he had on my Uncle Stan n the entire family. He became family instantly. John, you will be missed by many. I hope I can find my way back to the family before its too late. Thank you for opening my eyes to what I need to be doing. RIP John Weyhing

Johnny will be greatly missed and there are so many good memories with John and Mary and all the good friends that have left big smiles and warm hearts. John is gone but never forgotten and even though we don't always understand why someone so awesome has to be taken so young he will always be there watching over Mary and Bailey. We will miss you lots.

Love ya man,

Mary Pat,
I am with you in thought and I am so sorry for your loss of John. He will sure be missed. It is so difficult to lose a young man, husband, father, and friend. He was the same age as my Dad when he died 48. I know how young that is and how even though it has been 26 years since my Dad died it is so hard to understand why a young man dies. I am so sorry Mary for your loss. My family wishes the very best for you. You have always been a big part of my excellent memories growing up in Lake Stevens. I love you Mary and always will. John will now be with you in spirit and will live on forever. It's hard to grasp now but it is true. I will be there for you on Sunday. Love Erin (Parks) VanRy
