I knew John she I was a teenager caddying at Westchester Hills where he was a member. He was a super guy; smart and funny, and exceedingly generous. I ran into him years later and he was still the same great guy. My condolences to his family.

Dear Zeiss Family,
We have known John & his siblings for many years, growing up in the same era. I had also worked with John briefly way back in the 60's. May fond memories keep his spirit with you always. RIP John and fly with the angels.

Always remember John as part of the hockey community. He generously sharpened my son’s skates in his garage. He loved all the kids. He was a magnetic presence wherever he was. Rip John.

I knew John briefly when we both caddied at the Wee Burn club when we were earning a few dollars in our pre teenage. and early teenage years. Sadly we never connected again, but often thought of him seeing the ever-present Zeiss Partitions signage. His sense of humor and genuineness were integral to his character. Be confident that his life , his goodness is Blessed by his creator with Eternal Life. Don Bosak

To the entire Zeiss family; So very sorry for your loss. John was a great lifelong friend of our family. Always there for anything we needed. I have many fond memories of him, being Bob's baby brother, He would take me for ice cream, or to play golf or just stop over and have a catch. But the one memory that was so awesome especially for a fourteen year old boy. He let me drive his brand new Cadillac in Florida! On the streets! I will never forget that! Rest in peace my friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless.
