Joseph Loblanco Obituary
Stony Point - Joseph Valentino Loblanco of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Carmello and Mary Loblanco, born on February 14, 1932 in West Haverstraw, NY.
Joseph was in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War. Upon discharge of his service he became a security officer for Lederle Laboratories for over 35 years whereupon he retired as a security supervisor. In his free time Joseph enjoyed gardening, bowling and spending time with the Stony Point Seniors. Joseph was an avid baseball fan, always routing for the St. Louis Cardinals and taking his frequent visits to Monticello, spinning a few slots. Joseph's greatest pleasure was spending time with his extensive family.
He is survived by his daughter Heidi Ashford and her fiancé Joseph Caruso; son Michael Loblanco and his wife Holly; son Joseph Loblanco and his wife Gretchen; son Stephen Loblanco and his wife Kimberly; grandchildren: Casey, Thomas, Nicholas, Michael, Daniel, Anthony, Vincent, Isabelle, Delana and great-grandchild: Christian; sister Carmella Mae (Loblanco) Hewitt; sister Ann "Babe" (Loblanco) Lubanty and husband Walter "Jake" and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Joseph is pre-deceased by his loving wife Rosemarie (Croyle) Loblanco and loving girlfriend Marie (Pennypacker) Bauer; sister Mary (Loblanco) Lewis and brother Theodore "Buddy" Loblanco.
Visitation will be Friday, February 16 from 3 to 8pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Inc. 73 N. Liberty Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Church; 21 Cinder, Garnerville, NY 10923.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joseph's name may be made to Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY.
Arrangements under the care of Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Inc. 73 N. Liberty Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980.
