Joyce Drury Obituary
Evansville - Joyce (Woods) Drury, 79, of Evansville, IN passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home. She was born September 19, 1941 in Evansville, IN to the late Clarence and Clara Belle (Husk) Woods.
Joyce attended Bosse High School. She worked at Baskin Robbins for several years as well as the Walmart Pharmacy in Plainfield, IN. She loved being with her family and enjoyed Bingo, playing solitaire, baking cakes & pies and taking care of family members & others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sylvia Wright, Alberta French, Rose Schmidt, Betty Johnson; brothers Bobby, Clarence Jr. (Bugs) & Marvin Woods.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Drury; sons, Dan Drury of Indianapolis, Tony (Denise) Drury of Martinsville, and daughter Patti (John) Kivett of Plainfield; grandchildren, Bryan Weddle, Kasey Drury, Haley McGinnis, Trey Kivett, Lindsay Sussman, 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Hajek, Debby (Dennis) Nobles, Linda Dossett, and brother, Jerry Woods and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Tony Drury, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The service will be livestreamed at www.FuneralStreamUSA.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
