MILAN-June M. Runge, 86, of Milan, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made in June's name to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
June was born April 10, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa to George and Alice Haiston. On June 30, 1956 she married Robert C. Runge. They went onto enjoy 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. June enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and spending time with family. Before Bob passed, they enjoyed snow birding in Texas with their friends.
June is survived by her children, Colleen (Roger) Loter, Terry (Heather) Runge, Mark (Michelle) Runge, and Jenine (Mike) Bergert; grandchildren, Chris (Jill) Loter, Curt (Andrada) Loter, Derek (Rachel) Runge, Drew (Joycelyn) Runge, Justin Runge, Shelbi Huskey, Shelby (Anthony) Nordstrum, Cheyenne Bergert, Rachel Runge, Leah Runge, and Rebecca Runge; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Marissa, Carson, Kaylynn, Logan, Layne, and one on the way; siblings, Robert Haiston, Mike Haiston, and Fred Haiston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James "Jimmy" Haiston and Jack Haiston.
June will be remembered for her feistiness and sense of humor.
