Kathleen Mary Clarke
Kathleen Mary Clarke, age 54, of Seymour, CT, died unexpectedly and peacefully in Shelton, CT, on June 3, 2023. She was a 1987 graduate of Shelton High School. Kathleen worked in the St. Vincent's Special Needs Services Program in Stratford, CT. Previously she worked through the Birmingham Group Health Services at W.E. Basset in Shelton.
Kathleen was an avid country, Irish and rock music fan. The New York Yankees, New England Patriots and Penn State were her teams.
Proud of her Irish heritage, she looked forward to marching in the New York City Saint Patrick's Day Parade every year.
Kathleen and her family were supported by a multitude of medical and social resources. Thanks to their efforts and dedication, she was able to lead a productive, happy life. Dr. Mark Waynik and Residential Management Services, Inc. of Kensington, CT, were major contributors to her successful life's journey.
Kathleen is survived by her mother Mary E., and father Dennis P. of Shelton, CT, and her brother, Dennis L. of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by several uncles, an aunt, and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services are being provided by Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT, 06468. Family and friends can meet at the funeral home, Friday, June 9, from 8:30-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am, at St. Lawrence Parish, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, CT, 06484. Interment to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT, 06611-2660.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, at stjude.org/donate, or by mail at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be left at SpadaccinoFuneralHome.com.
