Kristie Snow-Beauchaine Obituary

Kristie Snow-Beauchaine

September 26, 1959 ~

March 15, 2024

Salt Lake City, UT-Kristie Ann Snow-Beauchaine, 64, passed away on March 15. Kristie was born on September 26,1959 to Norma Johnson Snow and James Earl Snow in Salt Lake City where she lived her whole life. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1978 and from the University of Utah, where she made lifelong friends as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

After college, Kristie spent over 20 years as a radio personality at various local stations. It was always a treat for her kids to join her at work and watch her operate the radio equipment. Later in life, she obtained a degree as a Master of Social Work and served as a counselor to those struggling with alcohol and drug addictions.

Kristie loved her family deeply and was devout in her faith. She had an open and kind heart and was a friend to many. She always lent an ear to those who needed it and had a soft spot for each pet she encountered.

Kristie is survived by her children, Jessica (Andrew) Sweeney, Katie (Ben) Sims, Michael Fredrickson; and grandsons Hank and Hugo.

Kristie is also survived by her best friend and sister, Jessie Snow Newman, and two brothers, Jim (Diana) Snow, and Karl (Laverne) Snow. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bonnie Snow, and husband Leon Beauchaine.

The family gives special thanks to the East Millcreek 4th Ward, especially to Judy Thompson, who provided so much love and support.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3103 East Craig Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be split between the Alcoholics Anonymous Fellowship Hall and the rescue organizations who have helped with her pets. Donations can be made via Venmo @Jessica-Fredrickson.

Kristie´s house was one of my favorite places to play! I lived just around the corner from her and would wait for her to call me to swim in the freezing cold pool in the backyard or to play in the basement which was set up for hours of pretending. We would put on epic plays in the driveway and invite the neighborhood moms to the show. I can still remember how excited I was to be the train in one of those shows. I jumped on my little bike with the decorated train box in hand. I can remember so vividly the details of that day. We lost touch after I moved and I wish we had reconnected when I moved back. Her sister Jessie was my beehive softball coach and her Mom was my Sunday school teacher for a while. Childhood memories are precious and the friendships from those days leave an imprint that stays with you. Condolences to her children and siblings. Rest in peace my friend.

Kristie and I knew each other when we started nursery at church at the age of 3. We were fast friends. She is a HUGE part of my childhood memories. Her mom was a 2nd mom and her sister Jessie is a 2nd sister to me. My young life was enriched and full of joy and laughter because of Kristie and her family. Love you, dear friend.

Kristie and I were best friends in our younger years. We played with our Barbies everyday and would sneak them in a brown bag across the neighborhood so no one would make fun of us. We swam often in her cold pool outside, listened to one of her favorites (Elton John), danced, got into trouble at times, laughed and enjoyed our special friendship. We were always trying new things like Kristie cracking an egg on top of my head to condition my long hair, and then running hot water over my head and the egg getting stuck in my hair and laughing so hard!!! I will miss my beautiful long time friend. But I know we will hug again someday. I loved her so much and loved her family. I am grateful that we have the knowledge that we will unite again. Goodby for now my friend To her children, your mother was very special and I am sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Kristie was the first peron I ever knew who had a cell phone back in the 80's when I was a kid. I remember her working on a news story for KSL about the effects on humans and livestock from the nuclear tests in UT and NV. She also got my friends and I tickets to Aerosmith when I was 17. She will be missed.
