LARRY MAINES Obituary
He was born on April 9, 1947 in Clearfield, the son of the late Kenneth and Maxine (McCracken) Maines.
Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. During his time in the Army he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman Badge M-1, Marksman Bandage M-14 and Good Conduct Medal.
Larry retired from General Motors after 31 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing home projects. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Oakland Bass Pro.
Larry is survived by his wife Barbara (Kitchen) Maines of Clearfield; a daughter Melonie Maines of Pontiac, Mich.; three step children, Amanda Brosius of Hyde, Willaim (Carrie) Schrock of Rittman, Ohio, and Mary (Bryan) Schrock of Morrisdale; two grandchildren, Alexander Schrock and Aaron Brosius; and a sister Gloria (John) Gloss of Hastings.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

As cousins, we were like two peas in a pod. We played baseball all the time, rode our bikes all over the place and shared hunting with our dads. You were as close to a brother as one could be. You will be missed by lots of love ones and i’m thankful you were in my life.

Larry was more than a step dad, he was a dad. Always there for me and my siblings. Ill miss ur hugs and when u would kiss my cheek when id visit. Ur grandchildren admired u so much. Alex wanted to be just like u. He wanted to make u proud. Im going to miss all of ur stories. U were honored when I asked u to walk me down the aisle. Theres so many things I wish I could say to u right now. I wish I could get just one last hug. See u smile just one last time. My hearts broken with u gone. Please watch over mom, all of ur kids and grandkids. We love u so much.
