Dear Ann Marie and Vierra family~
I am so saddened to hear of Laura's passing. What a wonderful woman she was...just so vibrant, funny, so sweet, and always so thoughtful. I knew her for many years when she worked at the banks on Alvarado Street...I saw her nearly every day. The world has lost a beautiful presence, but heaven has truly gained an angel. May you all be comforted by your wonderful, loving memories her. My prayers remain with you.

Laura - You're The BEST.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sun on ripening grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hushed light,
I am the up-fling of birds in flight.

I am the bright star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die,
I live forever in your hearts,
It's only temporary that we're apart.

To Ann Marie and family: Your mother was one of the most special people I have ever known. Her dedication to what she believed in, her hard work at the Seaside Police Department, and the example she set as a concerned citizen was top notch. Laura called it like she saw it, never held back and was one of the most solid members of our society. She respected honest government and she fought against dishonest government. In the end, she was never fooled. God bless Laura. As one of our police volunteers she worked hard and was always very proud of the Seaside Police Department. One of a kind and she will be missed.

I am so shocked to see that my friend has passed away. I met Laura at St. Francis Xavier Church when I was the secretary there for many years. We had one thing in common, shopping at thrift stores. I sometimes visited with her at St. Vincent de Paul... Laura was a smart woman. I will miss her but not forget her... Theresa Valdez
