Lawrence Neil "Scott" Driscoll

Lawrence Neil "Scott" Driscoll of Okemos, MI, age 78, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 17, 2021, in Hollywood, FL. He was born August 1, 1943, in Toledo, OH to the late Lawrence John and Janet (Maseman) Driscoll. He grew up with an older brother, the late Ronald Driscoll, and a younger sister, Diana Lownsbury, now of Scottdale, Arizona.

He graduated from the former DeVilbiss High School in Toledo and the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968.

Scott married Mary (Gould) Driscoll on November 1, 1968 and together they raised two loving daughters, Heather Driscoll (Chris Hackbarth) and Bridget Melinn (Kyle Melinn) while living in Perrysburg, OH, and Holland, MI. Even after the two divorced in 1997, they remained close friends. For the past 18 years, he also cherished the life he shared with his beloved partner, Roberta "Robbie" Peterson and family.

Scott is also survived by five grandchildren, (Makenzie, Tyler and Caleigh Hackbarth; and Frances and Finnegan Melinn); seven nieces and a nephew, (Elizabeth Driscoll, Anne Driscoll, Lisa Lownsbury, J.B. Gould, Sara Gould, Emily Holman, Stephanie Steinman, Cris Falvo and their families); and many dear cousins.

Professionally, Scott enjoyed a career as a Quality/Reliability Director for United Technologies/Chrysler, and he spent time with the Lear Corporation and the Wohlert Corporation of Lansing.

Visitation is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw St. Lansing, MI. The funeral will take place Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 Willow Highway, Lansing, MI. A visitation will be held at the church one hour before the funeral. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at 2520 W. Willow St.
