Stockton, CA
Sept. 17, 1948 - January 20, 2006
Butch Stefani passed away peacefully in Stockton on Friday, January 20, 2006 with his loving family by his side. Butch was born in Stockton and attended Village Oaks Elementary School and St. Mary's High School, where he met his wife Linda. Butch's children were his pride and joy. He gleamed with pleasure through baseball games, dance recitals and graduations. Butch also took great pride in his work as the landfill operations manager for Forward, Inc. Many people looked to him for advice and admired his honest and genuine personality. Though he will be remembered by most for his extraordinary sense of humor, Butch had an ability to catch an entire room's attention with quick wit, entertaining stories and a contagious laugh. Butch served the community in a variety of ways. He volunteered for numerous charitable organizations, served as a president on the California Beet Growers Association, a president of Pacific Little League and was a board member for the Reclamation District in Stockton.
Butch is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughter, Sally Galli and husband, Michael Galli of Sacramento and son, Alexander Stefani and loving companion,
Kelly Evans of Santa Rosa. Son of Helen Stefani of Stockton and the late Lawrence Stefani of Stockton. Brother of the late Laurie Aldana and husband, Louie Aldana of Stockton. Brother of Leslie Risso and husband, Dennis Risso of Stockton. Brother-in-law of Carol and Herb Sanguinetti of Concord. Nephew of Frank and Irene Garavano of Stockton. Cousin of Noreen and Greg Basso of Stockton. Also survived by his many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

My prayers are with you Linda and your family during this trying time. I was sadden to hear of your loss and keep in my heart such fond memories. In high school I remember Butch being demonaire in his hat. I know he was teased by the guys but he took gracefully and upbeat. I will always remember him with upmost respect and his upbeat outlook.
