Linda Jane Sharp
1947 - 2014
Linda Jane Sharp, 67, of Redding, Ca., born March 16th, 1947.
Reunited with God and her family in heaven on Oct. 4th, 2014.
Daughter of Ralph & Jane Emmons. Loving wife to Paul Sharp of 49 years.
Dedicated mother to Robert and his wife Kim Sharp and daughter Susan and her husband Troy Michaels. Also survived by her grandchildren: Erica, Alyssa, Melanie, Hannah, Kylie, great grandchildren: Katelyne, Mark, Michael, Marquel, Peyton, sisters: Kathy and Shirley. Dear friends: Jackie and Alvin, Joyce and John, Cheri and Mike. Loyal dog Luke.
Linda touched so many peoples' lives with her kind heart and gentle touch. There wasn't a soul that she met who didn't adore her. Her optimism and spirit in life was unlike any other. Her laugh was contagious and could light up the room. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and play the guitar.
She took great pride in her lovely yard, always spending her spare time gardening. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. During the summer she loved to travel up the Oregon coast with her husband Paul and you could always find her on the beach hunting agates with her best friend Jackie. Watching her grandchildren grow and play brought her such joy. During the holidays she loved to cook, sing, play games and be around loved ones.
Her passion to help others was reflected in her work as a Medical Assistant/Office Manager. After she retired Linda served the community by donating her time to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. For several years she was the NAMI treasurer for Shasta County.
She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her; she will live on in each and every one of our hearts.
Services will be held Saturday Oct. 18th at 2 pm.
A viewing will be held prior to the service between 10am-2pm at Lawncrest Chapel 1522 East Cypress Ave Redding, CA 96002

Dear Paul and Family, Linda was such a bright spot for anyone who knew her. She was always positive, upbeat and supportive. I was so grateful when she showed up at NAMI and even more grateful when she kept coming back. She was such an asset to our affiliate. In spite of her dedication to NAMI, it paled in comparison to the love and pride she had for her family...her entire family. Her face always lit up even more when talking about her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. She passed way too soon. She sounds delightful like my grandma was. Once your profound sorrow fades, I know you will again be able to cherish all the loving memories she left you, and the happy feelings she so inspired :)

Susan, your mom was an amazing woman and I know how much she loved you. There are no words to ease your pain, but I hope you will take comfort in knowing she will always be a part of you. My thought and prayers are with you and your family.

We were so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. There is nothing that can be said to ease the pain you are all feeling, only time can help with that. All the years we knew each other and wouldn't see each other for years at a time but when we did things never changed, laughs and smiles, and loved hearing her and Judy sing, what I will always remember. Our loving thoughts are with you Paul, and all of your family.

Dear Sharp family, so sad to hear of Linda's passing. I didn't know her long but I didn't need to she made me feel like a long time fried immediately. I will miss her and her hard work for NAMI.

Dear Paul and family, We are heartbroken to learn of Linda's untimely passing. She means so much to all of her NAMI Shasta County family who appreciate her years of dedicated service as Treasurer for our NAMI affiliate in Redding. Linda has so many loving friends and family members who will always remember her generous giving spirit and her wonderful caring sense of humor. We were certainly blessed to know her and are grateful for you sharing her with us.
