Lois Davis Obituary

With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Lois E. Davis, 95, of Clarksville on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by her four sons. She was born August 24, 1929, in Marianna, a daughter of the late George and Ruth Bigler Beglin. Lois graduated from Jefferson High School in 1947. On November 14, 1953, she married Joseph A. Davis, who was everything to her. He died on April 21, 2018. Lois served as an election board official for many years and was a life-long member of the Clarksville Christian Church, where she served as treasurer for many years. She also served as one of the original board members of the Lions Community Medical Center. She was a great cook, known for her homemade rolls and iced tea. She enjoyed collecting photographs and newspaper clippings of her children and grandchildren, that she organized into memory books for all. She was a huge fan of Pittsburgh sports and attending her grandchildren's events. Surviving are her sons: Mark (Amanda) Davis, Keith (Gina) Davis, Dale (Adrienne) Davis and Kent (Janet) Davis; six grandchildren: Brian (Elizabeth) Davis, Dr. Lindsey (John) Beabout, Drew Davis, Dylan (Maddie) Davis, Elizabeth Torres and Hilary (Keith) Belt; great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Jude and Arlo Davis, Jackson and Layla Beabout, Isla and Mila Torres and Dominick and Rose Belt; a brother, Wray (Ruth) Beglin; brother-in-law, Reed (Cindy) Davis; sister-in-law, Agnes Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Also deceased are a granddaughter, Tiffany Davis; and two brothers, Ernest Beglin and Blair Beglin. The family would like to thank Evergreen Assisted Living in Waynesburg and OSPTA Hospice for their compassionate care. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, with Pastor Brad Edgar officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Clarksville Christian Church, P.O. Box 705, Clarksville, PA 15322. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behm-funeralhomes.com.

Taking care of the Beglin and Davis family was one of the great honors and pleasures of my medical career in Washington. It was always a good day when Lois ( and Joe) came to the office. As I keep my pleasant memories, I send ny deepest sympathy to your family.
